My purpose for this bag is as an EDC bag. The size is perfect for my needs and the design is very well thought out to make the most use of it's small size.The padded shoulder strap although wide does not come into contact with my neck making it very comfortable and its shape keeps the bag in place when bending down. I also prefer a strap that is sewn to the bag rather than the type that use a metal clasp. The quick release is also located in easy to reach place and easy to use. Lastly regarding the strap is the clever zippered pouch. Although it's not wide enough for my large phone, it's stretchy material along with an extra fold allows for a decent amount of easy to access storage.The exterior pouch with an open top which is also made of a stretchy material allows you to use it for a reusable water bottle or something like a packable rain jacket or umbrella because it's not limited by the height of an enclosed compartment.The small zippered pouch is great for things like wipes, tissues, small first aid, etc. The other two compartments have a loop backing to attach the many available hook accessories for storage making ot easy to customize. Both are large enough to use to carry a full size CCW and spare mags with room to spare.Although it was nice to include a holster, I wouldn't recommend using it for it's intended purpose but it can be used for something else like a charger.Another nice detail is that the YKK zippers and pulls can be tucked away in a little compartment which adds to its aesthetics and makes it slightly more difficult for someone else to unzip it without being noticed.The material is name brand Cordura and the stitching is also very nice. I have no doubt in the quality of the construction or that it will last a long time with average use.I tried some other bags but returned them because they didn't check all the boxes for me like this Helikon Tex did. I like it so much that I now want to get the tan one as well, speaking of which, the grey is well represented in the pictures.
