I had a crate from this same brand and I really like them. Their products are really sturdy. This backpack is great and does the job, but I think it’s not comfortable enough for a big cat if you’re planing a long trip or something like that.I started out just leaving it in the living room with her favorite toy and blanket in there with one side door propped open. Soon her curiosity got the best of her and she was in. I shut the door and zipped it and then immediately unzipped it and let her out. This went on for several weeks. Finally I put it on the desk in her kitty room so It would be easier for me to get on my back myself when she decided to go back in. That day came and she was in. I took her for a short walk just outside in the back yard. The minute she made a sound I brought her back in the house and let her out. We did that a few times with a little longer walk around the yard each time. Now all I have to do is ask her if she wants to go outside for a walk and she jumps right on the desk and in most times. If she does not get in herself I do not make her and I think that is the key. It has to be her idea! LOL. Love this back pack. The only thing I would change is the strap that goes around your waist could be a little bigger and thicker. You don't really need it but it does make it more stable.My senior cat was diagnosed with kidney failure and needed weekly subcutaneous fluids. I used this for over a year taking her to and from the vet with ease. She always got tons of complements!My cat loves this. I leave it open and he sleeps in it every night. With him doing that he’s comfortable in it when going to the vet. It was definitely well worth the money as it was a perfect buy for me and my Prince.Our cat gets spooked at the smallest things so I was not real sure how she would react to this backpack idea. I unzipped the front panel, lifted her inside the backpack, attached the safety hook to her collar and then zipped up the backpack. I did this on my workbench which made it easy for me to slip my arms thru the straps and just start walking. Our first walk was for a few blocks and she was behind me so I could not see what she was doing or how she was acting, however, she was not trying to get out or yelling. We got home and I set the backpack on my workbench, unzipped the front panel and she was calm. Removed the safety clip and she walked out and then sniffed around the backpack. Yesterday I decided to wear the backpack on my chest so I could look thru the top and see what my cat was doing. She was happy and sniffing the air and looking around. Walked an additional few blocks and she was happy the entire time. Today I set the backpack on my workbench and she came running, jumped on my chair and then to the workbench and she walked into the backpack on her own. I zipped it up and we went for about a mile walk and she was happy all the way. I like wearing the backpack on my chest so I can get a kick out of watching her. The backpack is pretty comfortable hanging on my chest and our longer walk today did not stress my shoulders. You can also put your hands under the backpack while walking to lift a little if you think there is too much weight on your shoulders. I feel the construction is good, materials are good and they put thought into safety by having zipper locks and the tethered hook inside that connects to the cat's collar. So the cat can't break the zippers apart plus the cat is connected to the inside as well. She really loves this and I can see now that this is going to be a daily thing she likes to do. I was amazed that she jumps on my work bench and walks into the backpack as soon as I place it up there... after only two walks! I would recommend this to anyone who has an indoor cat to get them out of the house and get some fresh air. And... It's great to get me out to burn off some calories! Great work on this product!It’s cute, sturdy, and well built, but with pet inside on my back, the backpack has a tendency to lean backwards, so pet is not comfortable being on incline.DO NOT BUY THIS- DANGEROUS!!!So after using this bag to go back and forth to the vets via car all was fine. But the only day I used it to walk, with my cat in the bag, for only 15mins the bottom of the bag flew open (and yes it was zipped properly and the 2 zips were locked together securely) but still the bottom zips unlocked and unzipped and my cat fell out, the only saving grace was I had just turned the corner from a main, very busy road and my cat got such a fright I managed to scoop him up into my arms. Needless to say I am absolutely raging and disgusted. Piece of rubbish. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! DANGEROUS!!! NOT STURDY OR SAFE!!!This bag is great value and plenty big enough. I bought it for my adventure cat who was already lead trained but I wanted to take her on longer walks. Not knowing how she would react I went for it. Luckily she loves the backpack and as soon as I open it, in she dashes inside knowing she's going on an adventure. Haven't used the little bowl that comes with it but it's very handy. A little niggle is the top flap could use a clip or velcro to hold it back as my cat likes to look out the top and sometime flaps back down. I've fixed this myself with a clip. All in all a good product.I really like that every zip has the clip lock just incase he tries to separate the zips. I like the hard floor insert that is fluffy to keep it straight and upright and him comfy! I like the lean attached on the inside to allow for you to open the top and let the cat pop his head out without worrying he will jump out. And i thought the sides would just be net but it's a shaded transparent rubber over the net so they can't rip at it. I think it's great! And our cat is an adult cat so he is big enough and he was so happy it. He cried when we came home and took him out! Lol the bag itself is lightweight and very well thought out for the needs of any cat.Excelente producto! Lo compre para viajar en avión con mi gata de 4 kilos y me resultó perfecta. Nach einer Weile immer mal wieder reingelockt und belohnt bis sie sich drin wohlgefühlt (es gut angenommen) hat. Keine halbe Woche und es klappte so gut das wir mit ihr los gehen konnten. Immer wenn wir los wollen geht sie schon freiwillig in den Rucksack. Er ist zu allen Seiten schön öffen und sie kann viel sehen und beobachten.
